You like a dramatic entrance and you keep people guessing. A vampire costume fits because it is all about presence: you are not in costume so much as dressed for a very dark, very fancy dinner.
Vampires reward a good wardrobe more than a big budget. Anything black and sharp works, and a high collar does most of the talking.
Why it’s you
- You make an entrance
- People find you hard to read
- Night owl, always
- You dress up for anything
How to make it
- +Wear your sharpest black outfit: suit, dress or shirt and trousers
- +Add a cape or long coat with the collar turned up
- +Pale foundation, dark eyes and deep red lips
- +Plastic fangs, or a fake-blood drip at one corner of the mouth
- +Optional: a red rose, a velvet choker or a goblet
Tips
- !Fangs make talking hard; put them in for photos only
- !Use cosmetic-grade fake blood, never paint, near your mouth
Group or couple version
A vampire couple from different centuries (one Victorian, one modern goth) looks great together, or turn a group into a whole vampire family portrait.
For fun. Costume ideas only; check your school’s, office’s or venue’s rules about masks, make-up and props before you go.
